Borderland

Many people think the sole purpose of graphic design is to solve problems and that art is all about self-expression. I've never subscribed to the idea that design and art are intrinsically different. Art is fundamentally about reflecting human experience and society. Great design resonates with people because it is culturally and emotionally meaningful. Designers who work in that borderland where design meets art are all about challenging conventions, exploration and risk-taking. My latest book celebrates the interconnectedness of design and art. It embraces the blurred lines that exist between those worlds.

All the best stuff happens in the fringes of the edges at the margins.
